Facility Description

  • State of the art 7,200 square foot main facility completed in December 2006

  • Purpose designed and built for preclinical studies and training
  • Facility designed and built using AAALAC and USDA standards for surfaces, housing and air quality control
  • Primary operating suite - 900 square foot built to California OSHPD standards with positive pressurization, HEPA filtration and multiple stations possible for physician and sales force training
  • Dedicated critical care and 24 hour study unit
  • On-site animal housing for species ranging from rabbits to adult cattle

  • Emergency back-up power generators for facility, barn and rabbit housing building

  • Fully equipped operating suite: GE Datex Ohmeda S5 anesthesia monitor, Edwards Vigilance continuous cardiac output monitor, Zoll internal and external defibrillation, Stockert CAPS heart lung modular system, two heater/coolers (Hemotherm 400MR, Sarns), Berchtold and Luxtec surgical lighting, complete instrumentation for complex cardiovascular cases
  • Fully adjustable interventional and surgical table
  • Sterilization capabilities: Tuttnauer 3780EAP autoclave, Advanced Sterilization Products Sterrad NX low temperature sterilizer
